Tuesday, December 4, 2018

SPOKANE, WA - The Downtown Spokane Partnership (DSP) is launching a new series to engage the downtown business community. Titled Downtown Dialogues, the series is a resource for the business community to come together and learn about important topics related to downtown.

“The objective of the dialogues is to help DSP members and ratepayers gain a better understanding of the initiatives taking place around us,” says DSP President Mark Richard. In addition, the series will identify opportunities to improve downtown and bring people together to engage in those opportunities.

The first bi-monthly gathering will be hosted on December 4, at 4:30 p.m. with a discussion on homelessness and safety.

A panel of local service, policy, and business representatives, moderated by KHQ’s Sean Owsley will participate in a roundtable about the efforts taking place to address complex issues around homelessness and the challenges faced by downtown property and business owners. Together, the community will discover opportunities to improve the lives of those in genuine need while also improving the downtown environment.
