Juliet Sinisterra, CEO,, 509 255 8093

Juliet brings over 25 years’ experience in urban design, master planning, project management, community engagement, and sustainable community development from her work in both the Seattle and Spokane areas. Juliet has served as Economic Development Manager for the Downtown Spokane Partnership where she led development of support services for downtown Spokane businesses and startups through strategic planning, urban projects, public art, and partnership development. Juliet also oversaw the community vision development and management of the Riverfront Park Master Plan which led to the successful voter approval of a $64.3 million bond. In the past few years, Juliet served as Building Platform Product Manager for intellectual property for Katerra around a Mass Timber speculative office building, and most recently, has supported various community development initiatives in Spokane including a Spokane Culture Corridor for downtown, the integration of public art into the Spokane Transit Authority’s City Line project; and the support of a strategic action plan for the Spokane County Food Security Coalition. Juliet holds a professional Bachelor of Architecture degree and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from Washington State University. Juliet also holds certificates in urban design from Syracuse University, Florence, Italy, and in Transition Towns.


Alden Jones, Administrator 509 255 8038

Alden has extensive experience working alongside top academic, corporate, and non-profit leaders. Alden started with the University District in January 2016 and before that served for ten years as the administrator and assistant to the executive director of the Life Sciences Discovery Fund Authority, a Washington state agency that supported innovative research across Washington to promote life science competitiveness, enhance economic vitality and improve health and health care. Alden's prior roles include the executive assistant to the president emeritus of the University of Washington, to the founding director of the Talaris Research Institute, and to the president of Pistol Creek Financial Company. She also served for several years as the communications specialist for the Washington Technology Center and the Human Interface Technology Laboratory at the University of Washington. Alden's career has included unique roles such as co-producer of an independent feature film, construction management and outfitting of beachside villas in Mexico, branding for hospitality businesses, and art museum administration. Alden holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from the University of California Santa Barbara.
