Downtown Plan Update

Thursday, January 31, 2019

In February 1999, the City of Spokane adopted the Plan for a New Downtown as part of its Comprehensive Plan. Since the creation of the original plan, and the 2008 update, over $4 billion have been invested in the downtown core. The plan provides design guidelines, zoning regulations and targeted projects for City staff, developers, and business leaders alike to follow in order to ensure vibrant, safe and proactive measures.

Funding has been approved for a 2019 update and DSP staff will soon be accepting proposals for a team to execute public input and research.
