Join us for an engaging conversation with:

Scott Morris, Chairman President CEO at Avista

Balancing Needs to Achieve a Clean Energy Future

Avista has provided safe, reliable electricity and natural gas service to our region for more than 130 years. These essential services enable the wonderful quality of life we enjoy in the Pacific Northwest. In fact, most people don’t think about what it takes to ensure that the energy we use every day is there when we flip on the light switch or turn up the heat.

After graduating from Gonzaga University, Avista’s Chairman Scott Morris started his career at the utility in 1981 and has spent nearly 40 years working in the organization and leading the company as the energy landscape continues to rapidly change.

This is a transformational time in the energy industry. Today, technology is changing the way that energy is generated, delivered and consumed. And the movement toward sustainability and clean energy is also a major driver of change.

Avista has proactively set clean energy goals. As always, Avista will rely on its core values – Trustworthy, Innovative, and Collaborative – to guide leaders as they tackle tough decisions to achieve these clean energy goals. Scott will discuss how these core values are reflected in what the company has done for the past 130 years, how we make decisions today that drive our business forward to deliver energy, and how we’re planning for tomorrow.

Scott will also discuss how each one of us can help contribute to a clean energy future.
