WSU prof named to National Academy of Inventors

Katrina L. Mealey has been elected a fellow of the National Academy of Inventors, a group of scientists. Mealey is a professor at Washington State University. She discovered a potentially fatal gene mutation in dogs, developed a test for it, and has established a medical treatment for pets program at WSU. Her nine national and international patents have generated more than $1 million in royalties and licensing fees for WSU. Read more.
