STA receives $53.4M grant for City Line

The Federal Transit Authority awarded a $53.4 million grant to Spokane Transit Authority for its six-mile Bus Rapid Transit line that will operate between the Browne's Addition neighborhood and Spokane Community College, and through downtown Spokane and the University District. STA plans to start construction this spring on the rapid transit route, which it's now calling City Line, and expects to start service on the route in May 2022.
