HSSA Offers Immediate Grants to Help Combat Coronavirus (COVID-19) Impacts
(Requires quick response by Tuesday, March 24th, 12 noon)
The Health Sciences and Services Authority (HSSA) of Spokane County is making funds available to applicant organizations serving the immediate needs and challenges of citizens and students impacted by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The grants are intended for those organizations with immediate needs to serve Spokane County citizens and children and must be spent within the County. The grants will support those providers on the frontline of this evolving crisis.
Some issues of concern to be addressed are food insecurity, housing, personal protective equipment, counseling and transportation to name a few, as we can’t imagine all the immediate needs there may be. These funds are intended to be available by the end of next week on Friday, March 27, 2020.
HSSA requires applicants to send an electronic letter of request to grantadmin@hssaspokane.org by 12 noon on Tuesday, March 24, 2020. HSSA’s Grants Committee and Board of Directors will meet on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively, to make its decisions. The letter must provide the following information:
- clearly identify the applicant
- provide a contact and contact information
- provide a title that depicts the use of HSSA funds
- amount requested
- a statement of how the funds would be used
