Description:

Tobe Harvey with guest artist, Shanda Lee Stinebaugh – Recent Works.

Tobe’s artworks reflect his personal experiences, experiments, and attempts at transcendence. As an artist, he reflects on his existence through the use of form. Shanda began this series of cyanotype prints in 2020 as a response to the political division that was occurring within our communities and homes. Via highly contrasting lines and forms, she analyzes this divide, but more importantly, shows that the individual components are stronger when they come together.

Josh Hobson – Sun Salutation: New Photographic Works.

These new works include lumen prints, cyanotypes, archival pigment prints, and lens-based sculpture. The works engage with the power of the sun, either directly (sunlight was essential in the photographic process) or indirectly (sun drenched imagery). Both cyanotypes and lumen prints are analog processes whereby images are exposed directly to UV rays without necessitating any darkroom work.
