McKinstry Co. names Champions of Sustainability at GU and CCS

McKinstry Co., a Seattle construction company with a presence in Spokane, has recognized two local higher education sustainability leaders as Champions of Sustainability at the 2022 Washington & Oregon Higher Education Sustainability Conference. Monica J. Stenzel, founding director of the Sustainability Center and history faculty member at Spokane Community College, and Jim Simon, director of sustainability at Gonzaga University, both were recognized for exhibiting a forward-looking approach to innovative energy and waste reduction in the built environment, which contributes to 40% of total global energy-related carbon emissions, according to McKinstry.
