Evergreen Bioscience Innovation Cluster to Parse Washington Commerce Nordic Trip Lessons Learned - Oct 11

On Friday, September 16, 2022, as part of the WA Commerce Nordic Trip to Finland and Norway, Lily Eriksen of WA Commerce and Stacia Rasmussen of Evergreen Bioscience Innovation Cluster/Greater Spokane Inc. was honored to have Hanna-Leena Harma from Business Finland (the Finnish government organization for innovation funding and trade, travel, and investment promotion) treat them to a special day of meetings with host Teppo Laaksonen, the Network Manager of HealthTurku (a European Cluster Collaboration Platform) and a few of Finland’s Health Turku Cluster partners; Business Finland, Turku University of Applied Sciences, BAYER Oy Pharmaceutical Division, Euro-Bioimaging, and Turku-Bioimaging.
They experienced firsthand how all partners are together supporting health and life science innovation with collaboration between government, funders, higher education, large corporations, and entrepreneurs resulting in successful economic benefit for Finland and Europe. Evergreen Bioscience Innovation Cluster will take these lessons learned into the next steps of cluster development along with feedback gathered from participants at the October 11 Voice of the Customer event.
