Whitworth University has been named to the Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Honor Roll for the fifth year in a row. Whitworth was among 228 colleges or universities to receive the honor this year.

“We are immensely proud to be recognized by the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society for the fifth consecutive year,” says Josh Hibbard, vice president for enrollment management. “This honor reflects our commitment to providing transfer students with the resources, support and academic excellence they need to thrive.”

Whitworth transfer students are well equipped from the very start of their journey with programs to make their transition to a university seamless. For domestic students from Washington, those who are eligible can participate in the Pirate Pathways program, which offers the following benefits:

• Quarterly meetings with a Whitworth transfer advisor

• Guaranteed admission for applicants with a 3.0-plus cumulative GPA who meet all other admission requirements

• Pirate Pathways scholarship of $1,500 per year by meeting requirements

• Guaranteed renewable academic scholarship from $17,000-$30,000

• Transfer-credit evaluation upon request

• Personalized campus visits, including appointments with faculty in your intended major

Pirate Pathways is for domestic high school graduates who plan to or are currently enrolled at a community college in Washington state or at North Idaho College. High school students enrolled in Running Start should contact their Whitworth first-year admissions counselor. To learn more about Whitworth’s transfer process, click here.
