EAST GALLERY: KURT MADISON, “Enantiomorphs – New Work”
SHORT BIO: Kurt Madison has been thinking about and making art for the last 45 years. The last 20 or so years in Spokane Washington.
EXHIBITION STATEMENT: This large scale installation draws from dreamwork, the unconscious, intuition and materials experimentation made over the last 2 years. I am most interested in the viewer’s responses.
WEST GALLERY: MARGOT CASSTEVENS, “Lost and Found”
ARTIST STATEMENT: This current work is materials exploration and life reconstruction in equal measure. Ceramics was an early love of mine. It’s been an enormous pleasure rediscovering clay this year. The results are neither traditional nor refined but very satisfying!
