Spokane City Council President Betsy Wilkerson will host a free community event featuring guest speaker Peter Kageyama. In 2012, Kageyama's book, “For the Love of Cities: The Love Affair Between People and Their Places”, was recognized as one of the top ten books in urban planning, design, and development.

“I hope the community will join us as we explore Spokane's unique character and envision a future for our beloved city through the insights of our esteemed urban development and design leader, Peter Kageyama,” said Council President Betsy Wilkerson. “After hearing Peter speak in Vancouver during our Associated Washington Cities (AWC) conference, it was evident that we could learn from his expertise and leadership to embrace the opportunities ahead and continue cultivating a vibrant community we cherish.”
