Nominate citizens for the Hall of Fame - deadline Feb 6

Nominations are open for the 2018 class of the Spokane Citizen Hall of Fame. Inductees will be announced during the annual breakfast at the downtown branch of the library on May 1. The event celebrates living and historic citizens of fame and recognizes a Spokane citizen making an impact with an award that honors the legacy of the late Dr. Elson S. Floyd.  

Nominations are open through Feb. 6. You can nominate anyone who has made a significant impact on the community in six different categories. They are:

  • Arts and Letters: For activities that enhance and support the artistic/cultural and literary life and well-being of the community
  • Economic Development and Business: For entrepreneurial activity or significant contributions toward the economic betterment of Spokane
  • Education: For enriching and inspiring lifelong learning in our community
  • Innovation and Leadership: For activities that cultivate strong innovation and leadership city-wide
  • Public Service and Philanthropy: For exemplary voluntary and public service activities that benefit the community
  • Science, Health, and Medicine: For individuals who have made significant contributions in the area of science or medicine
