Monday, July 9, 2018

The Numerica Summer Workout Series returns to the Tribal Gathering Place (TGP) in downtown Spokane on Monday July 9.

Thanks to the support of presenting sponsor – Numerica Credit Union – make your way downtown to get fit for free, three nights a week with instruction from local studios.

  • Mondays: Barre with Pure Barre Spokane
  • Wednesdays: Yoga with The Union Yoga Studio
  • Thursdays: Rotating Cardio with The Spokane Club

All activities kick-off at 7:15pm on the TGP, located next to City Hall at 315 N Post, and last between 45 and 60 minutes.

Last summer an average of 200 individuals showed up each week to work it out on the public plaza. “We look forward to the Summer Series all year,” says Downtown Spokane Partnership marketing and programming manager, Elisabeth Hooker. “The Tribal Gathering Place is the perfect location to wind down and sweat out the stress.”

The Summer Series is a program of the Downtown Spokane Business Improvement District with support from the City of Spokane and Spokane Riverfront Park, presented free of charge thanks to Numerica Credit Union.

“Numerica is committed to fostering well-being in our community, and that includes all aspects of living well such as financial health, physical health, family togetherness, and reducing stress” says Kelli Hawkins, Director of Communications for Numerica. “By supporting the Summer Workout Series, we’re able to do just that. Our moto is ‘Life Moves. Live Well.’ It’s the perfect fit.”

Mats will be available to borrow on Yoga and Barre nights, but supplies are limited. Participants should come prepared with appropriate shoes, a mat, a towel and water bottle. Cancellations may occur due to weather conditions, follow @downtownspokane on Facebook and Twitter for announcements.
